Accountant

We are expanding our team & we’re looking for a highly skilled Accountant to join our family. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and analysing financial risks and opportunities, performing audits, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

With extensive knowledge of accounting principles and excellent communication skills, the ideal candidate will help us maintain our financial health and achieve our business goals.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Record and manage financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, including GAAP and tax laws.
  • Provide advice and guidance to clients or stakeholders on financial matters, including tax planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Prepare and file tax returns and other financial reports for government agencies.
  • Identify and analyze financial risks and opportunities, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Perform financial audits and investigations to ensure compliance and identify potential fraud or misconduct.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Professional certification or licensure, such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, including GAAP and tax laws.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex financial issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience in financial analysis and reporting.

The working hours for this role are 9am – 05pm or 10am – 06pm (flexible hours) Monday to Friday.

Due to the nature of the business, you may be required to do some overtime which will either be paid or received back in Lieu hours.
